About
This is a pub in a very quiet village in Cambridgeshire we went for a meal on a Groupon voucher and would have willingly paid the full price, the food and service was excellent (they also have rooms) much better than you would expect for such an out of the way place. It is also near the Wetlands and Wildfowl Trust which is worth a visit

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another lovely lunchtime meet-up with friends, about half- way between where we live in Norfolk and Notts. A cosy, traditional pub-restaurant serving local ales and generous portions of homemade food, great flavours, un-pretentious but imaginitive cooking. Always a warm welcome for us and our dogs....A relaxing garden and close to the Washes and WWT bird watching centre. Service is relaxed, welcoming, and attentive. Booking recommended.... it can be busy! Thanks to all the staff and we look forward to our next visit.More

This was our first visit to The Lamb and Flag and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. Although the menu is not massive there were some extras on the specials board. There were only a...few vegetarian options however I chose the beetroot wellington and it was delicious. The pub itself is cosy and comfortable and had an open fire which was much appreciated on a cold February night. Overall we were more than satisfied with our meal, service and surroundings.More

Lovely pub, lovely staff Just such a shame we couldn't have the vegan fish and chips as although marked as vegan, they weren't as were cooked in with the fish and chicken oil,  a fact we only discovered whilst querying if the onion rings were...vegan (same issue btw,so that's a no). Hopefully they'll sort this out at some point.More

My wife and I found this pub on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a go. The place is best characterised as a quintessential pub with lots of interesting artefacts on display. The food was amazing, I had the steak and ale pie whilst my...wife had a cheeseburger. Both were top-notch! The service was very friendly. All in all, a very worthwhile visit and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in lovely surroundingsMore

As a local villager living in Welney, with no shops, petrol stations, banks or other pubs, The Lamb & Flag supplies a much needed community meeting place along with a welcoming traditional pub atmosphere that allows its clientele to relax and chat without having to...shout over TV’s, PA’s, Gambling Machine and other distractions that - more modern - pubs bombard you with. Coupled with a fine choice of drinks and local ales, along with an excellent food menu, this really is a great find for those visitors who visit this picturesque Norfolk village. The only downside is that it is closed on Monday’s and Tuesday’s, but hopefully, with visitors discovering its’ Beer Garden and warm welcome from friendly staff, that will be put right in the not too distant futureMore

Our second visit and definitely won't be our last. Lovely cosy atmosphere, snug, lovely open fire and a warm greeting from staff. Great home made vegetarian food (very unusual) beautifully cooked and presented. A vast selection of "puds" were available, wanted to try them all,...but Apple and Plum won the vote for me and Bakewell Tart for Sandra. Fantastic. Also an added bonus is that it's a dog friendly pub. To top it all, it's very clean and the toilets are a credit to the owners.More
