This is a lovely, civilised restaurant. The food was superb and the staff lovely. A little pricey but nice for a special treat. Recommended. More

My partner and i have dined at the Beangoose Restaurant on several occasions. We have always enjoyed the experience so much that we never go anywhere else. This time we took my 8 year old granddaughter for her first visit. Prior to our visit the owner Lesley had e-mailed us a menu, as well as taking an order from us... More

The quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant cannot be faulted. It is a great change from the pub food available elsewhere on Lindisfarne. However, I was disappointed by the portion size as it was very small. More

We entered the restaurant on a rainy, cold Sunday evening, and were seated by a lovely fire and smelled the fragrant crab soup. Our meal of poached haddock with salsa verde, onions, and fresh new potatoes was outstanding. Enjoyed a nice Italian white wine with it. The house cat came by to say hello. The owner was especially friendly and... More

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is one of my favourite places on earth: but eating at the BeanGoose just makes it even better. The lobster was perfect & beautifully presented with just the right amount of fantastic new potatoes & salad - washed down with a fabulous prosecco: not just holy - positively heavenly! More

Overall a pleasant discovery, based on the reviews on TA. A shame your are not open for lunch, as it's rare to find an similar environment as yours on the island. I'm sure we will be back. More

We visited the BeanGoose on a Saturday night (definitely book ahead) with my husband’s parents when we were staying on the island. The food was fresh – the lobster delicious (again order ahead) – locally produced, and cooked to perfection! The menu choice is limited to 5 (or so) starters, mains and desserts – but there is something for everyone;... More

We stumbled accross the BeanGoose when we first visited the island during the Sunday of our week-long stay in Bamburgh. It looked so cosy and inviting that we knew we had to eat there. Some attention needs to be given to the safe-crossing times, but this involves nothing more than a bit of looking ahead - the council publishes the... More

Come here for perfect local crab mayonnaise followed by succulent grilled lobster with sauce vierge (give prior notice if you want this). The lobsters were not huge, so that left room for a delicious apple and raspberry crumble. A short but excellent wine list. Charming and efficient service. What more could you wish for? A reasonable bill? Yes, we got... More

We ate here whilst staying in the Lindisfarne Hotel around the corner. Lovely ambience and really friendly staff, especially the owner. The food is good, organic fare, extremely tasty - our starters and desserts were particularly satisfying! We loved the traditional feel of the restaurant. There is an excellent selection of meat and fish on the menu, and some delicious... More
