Wonderful food; the menu is fish heavy (thank goodness). Despite the distance from the sea the quality is outstanding. The meat items are also of high quality and very well cooked. An experience to be strongly recommended.

The Sunday lunch here is the best we have found - faultless! I had the rare beef, my husband had pork with very crispy crackling and the roast potatoes were second to none. A good selection of fresh veg and very tasty gravy. This is...our favourite place for a relaxing Sunday lunch. The place is very welcoming and has a very relaxed atmosphere, and dogs are welcomed. Very good access for those in a wheelchair, which I am due to a broken ankle. All the staff were very helpful in getting me comfortable at the table. We will definitely be back.More

I don't know what on earth happened last night when we had dinner here, the reviews looked good, and we're struggling to understand how. We're very easily pleased and takes a lot to prompt a complaint, but we had an absolutely awful experience. My partner...ordered the belly pork off the specials board, and it turned up on a side plate, a very few overcooked bits of diced pork thrown in with a few veg. I had the cauliflower with braised lentils, this turned out to be a few mainly burnt cauliflower florets thrown into a plate of sludgy lentils. The chunky chips we ordered came out as skinny fries, not a big deal but just added to the general lack of care. We were both mortified, to the point of embarrassment. We ate it as we were hungry and there was nowhere else to go as we were staying at a local campsite. One of the team took the plates away, and another brought the bill. Neither of them asked us how the meal was, else we'd have said how disappointed we were. So we just left, just as the table next to ours was commenting on the small portion sizes of their food. We should have complained but we were hungry, disappointed, tired and just wanted to leave and simply couldn't face the confrontation in the busy setting. No excuses but that's how it was. We are very relaxed easy going people but this was a truly disappointing meal and experience and we felt robbed of £45 instead of enjoying what we'd hoped would be a lovely Saturday night out and special occasion.More
Stayed here for 2 nights in the badger set pod. Pods are comfy, cozy, warm and spacious. The pub itself has managed something that many pubs have failed, not only does it serve amazing food it’s still a pub a place you can just go...for a beer. We met so many great locals early evening when we just stopped for a beer or three. It’s a pub you can go in just for a drink, or a full on meal. They have a top class selection of cask beers on as well and I had several of each over the duration of our stay. The staff here are the most welcoming, friendly fun bunch of people too. After eating we ended up chatting with two locals who sat on our table with us, we all drank beer and chatted exchanging stories etc, it’s really how pubs used to be, only shame is it’s not my local as it’s really rather special.More
Excellent lunch with friends for a birthday celebration, on Tuesday of this week. Delightful helpful staff, wonderful ambiance and delicious meal, especially the seafood special!! Can recommend unreservedly, we will be revisiting this pub soon.
Booked a Motorhome pitch and dinner for 29th August. What an amazing spot in a fabulous village! The glamping pods look amazing and one for the future! The food was absolutely outstanding, the best we've had in a long time!! I would definitely recommend the...Norman Knight without any hesitation. The staff were great, very welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. For Motorhome users, there is EHU and Water but couldn't see an Elsan point.More
Such good food and lovely service . I had the chicken burger and it was lovely the food took a bit longer than first thought but the servers apologised and were really considerate and a great atmosphere and great decoration.
Most delicious veggie deli board I have ever had. Staff very friendly and attentive. Hubby had fish and chips which he too loved, would highly recommend
My partner is a vegetarian who is allergic to garlic. We booked to visit there last Saturday. My partner had confirmed the previous Sunday that they could make the Camembert dish without garlic. This was confirmed again when she phoned mid week and booked a...table. On arriving on the Saturday the person behind the bar who it would appear took the booking seemed concerned and went to the kitchen to find out about the garlic. He then showed us to a table. It was only they were taking our order that we were told that the chef was "too busy" to accommodate this request and that the best he oould do was a cold cheese selection. There was virtually no apology for this and it was too late at this stage to go elsewhere. She was very unhappy with her food which was basically an expensive ploughmans and which we found when we received the bill was charged at the same price as the Camenbert. We never had a visit from the manager or received a proper apology for a ruined evening. We suggest that you avoid if you have an allergy.More
After many visits I can confirm, lovely very attentative staff, lovely venue, great beer and food to die for. Many congratulations to all at the KN for a real English country pub.
Nice food, specials not cheap but excellent, we had fish, chicken, beef pie (no bottom) and scallops
We had Sunday lunch here and chose the roast beef. It was very good, very tender and served with a lovely selection of vegetables. Tasted like home-made.
We are here for a weeks holiday staying in a cottage just outside the village, he Norman knight was a recommendation and we booked before we arrived, for Sunday lunch, it surpassed all expectations! The welcome from the staff, the ambiance and the locally sourced...food! Friendly staff willing to chat, local people very friendly and food fit for a restaurant! It was a busy pub but everyone was given attention by the staff! Our little Dog loved the attention including a bowl of water with ice to keep cool! We will be back as the menu looked so good!More
