Been twice for family birthdays in January with parties of 9 and 12 respectively. Great service great food lovely log burner a really proper old country pub which is enjoying deserved good reports. The range of own brewed real ales is excellent especially the Kiwi which slipped down a treat. Rather glad I wasnt driving on either occasion. More

My wife found this pub on trip advisor and it certainly lived up to its ratings. The food was excellent in every way. You would be hard pressed to find quality at this price all delivered with excellent service. Great Pub - the beer was good too!! More

Stayed 3 nights in the grounds of this wonderful oasis. Like all ex-pats, miss real live beer so The Norman Knight ticks all boxes. Felt compelled to sample reasonable quantities of Morris, Kiwi and Pug, for research purposes only of course and got to look around the brew house. Food is also top notch, Gammon and Eggs 100%. We got... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the campsite at the rear of The Norman Knight and ate in the pub each evening. It is the ideal country pub brought to life , open fire , tasty food ,real ales and friendly welcoming atmosphere. Our 10 year old son pronounced the gammon and eggs the highlight of his holiday. ...., we... More

Really warm welcome from all staff and good choice on the menu. We had the carvery and it was lovely, Choice of beef, pork, venison - or all !, lovely fresh vegetables, huge Yorkshire pudding and very tasty gravy. Had to have pudding (or did I) !!! as it was chocolate brownie, served with vanilla ice cream. I was full... More

We had a great dinner of simple fish and chips a few months ago and decided we'd come back and try something a bit more adventurous in this lively pub restaurant. Last night we were treated to a special French themed menu and a wonderful live melodeon duo all the way from French France to accompany our dinner. The food... More

We visited The Norman Knight for lunch today. We try, where possible, to take our (somewhat large) Labrador with us and had asked when we booked. We were told that it was fine in the Bar area but not the Restaurant. This is quite expected and, in our opinion, quite right. There were a couple of other dogs and their... More

brew superb beers on site the Kiwi ale is my favourite, the house Red is good too, the food is superb and Tim's knowledge of food in particular game is unsurpassed, with their very own smoking facilities on site (not tobacco). Excellent atmosphere, a very small campsite at the back of the garden, if that's full there's a superb site... More

Went one Saturday evening with friends from out of town, been before but not since new owners taken over. The menu is not huge which I think enables them to offer good fresh food with plenty of fish dishes which is always a good sign. This is not a criticism as you will know from Gordan Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares one of... Having just returned from spending five nights at the Norman Knight we are keen to share our experiences. We are relatively new to caravanning but as experienced campers we always avoid the crowds and would be the first to acknowledge we are very selective about where we stay and eat. We chose The Norman Knight as a Caravan Club "Certified... More
