We drove by Mom's on Friday afternoon and it was packed so we put it on our list of "need to check out" places. So unfortunately, the Residence Inn had not anticipated their crowd for breakfast at their newly opened inn so we looked for breakfast elsewhere. Nice selection of items and at a very reasonable price...always as plus for... more

This is definitely a local favorite - and the has the best wait staff in town. If you love the old fashioned diner atmosphere (now smoke-free), you'll love the food on the menu. Try the biscuits and gravy or the cinnamon rolls. more

We were introduced to this resturant about 5 years ago when we came up to our Lake front RV site at Carl Blackwell and totally enjoyed the experience from the wonderful home cooked Breakfast, big pancakes, omlettes and best biscuit & gravy and fantastic service. We try not to miss Saturday Mornings! Get there early, though or ya can not... more

Mom's is local institution where area farmers, townies and the university folk gather to start the day right. The inexepensive menu is features standard breakfast combinations with an emphasis on pork products. The pancakes are plate sized and biscuits are made from scratch. Get here early, 5-6 AM, to catch the clusters of older residents discussing politics and local sports. more
