The trip to the Rock Cafe happened because it had been on a Food Network program. The building and atmosphere was what had been expected--the food was not. The cafe was staffed by four young teen-age guys. Very friendly. Jagerschinzler was order by two of us and the third person ordered a shrimp dish. All three orders were served hot.... more

After spending an entire week excited to drive out to Stroud from Tulsa we were seriously disappointed by the hospitality of the owner, Dawn and staff. This was exactly the kind of restaurant we were looking for on our Route 66 tour in August 2007 (7 people from Austria/Europe on motorcycles) - an old fashioned unique place to have a nice break. I don't know what happened when the people who wrote the other review went there but I have been visiting the rock cafe now for over 4 years whenever I pass through stroud on my my to tulsa and I have NEVER had bad service.
