I had the Buffalo Burger and it was dry and overcooked and they forgot the onions. The pulled pork had some strange strogonoff type sauce on it that made it quite unusual. We've loved the Rock for years and were so glad to see it back. We went for breakfast last week and found it as good as ever. But the service sucked. There were 3 teenagers waiting on customers. My husband and I traveled Route 66 from Tulsa to Stroud last weekend. We loved the Rock Cafe. We had the burgers and they were great. We watched them make the patties after we placed our order. While this small cafe has been nicely remodeled following their fire, the staff seems to take for granted their customers, the food quality, and the value of their food. Let's start with service. After seeing the Rock Cafe on the food network, my wife and I made the 40 mile (one way) trip to try out their Alligator Burger and was quite pleased with it. The trip to the Rock Cafe happened because it had been on a Food Network program. The building and atmosphere was what had been expected--the food was not. The cafe was staffed by four young teen-age guys. Very friendly. Jagerschinzler was order by two of us and the third person ordered a shrimp dish. All three orders were served hot.... more
