on october 7th 2009 my husband and myself tried to eat at this place but becuase we didn't have reservation and there was hardly anyone in the place eating we were treated very rudely and so we left and ate at a different restaurant. I would not recommend this place at all. they had a sign on the door that... more

I have eaten at this restuarnt 3 times. First was OK, so went back on next visit, only so, so. The menu is limited. The description sounds interesting, but when the fish in parchement came it was minimally prepared, unseasoned, flat in taste. The third time I visited I was now gluten free and our original dining plans were canceled... more

The hospitality was very good, but the food fell short of the mark. We had stuffed mushrooms which were decent, but they should not have cost near the $9.00 they charged. We also had the salmon in parchment and the halibut in parchment. The idea is fanstastic, but the halibut and the vegetables accompanying it were so underseasoned the dish... more

We ate here on 4th of July while visiting Manzanita, OR for the weekend. My husband and I both had salmon. Mine was grilled perfectly and his was grilled in parchment paper with blue cheese and apples which was different but very tasty. Most restaurants over cook it but this was cooked perfectly. Very fresh also. We had a great... more

My companion and I recently celebrated my birthday in Manzanita and had dinner at the Terra Cotta Cafe. We arrived first about 8 pm on Friday evening, but the restaurant was closing (which we wouldn't have expected on a weekend evening so call ahead if you're arriving from out of town). We went to the Rising Star Cafe down the... more

The TC was an unexpected find. I love restaurants that have that old fashioned inn feeling, where the proprietor comes to your table and chats. The food was fresh, the coffee was strong and the desserts made with TLC. We'll go back for sure. more

During our recent Oregon beach visit my husband, two friends, and I had such an excellent meal that my husband and I returned two more times during our two week visit. During our first visit we enjoyed the grilled peaches with feta cheese and Proscicutto. This was a very different type of appetizer and surprisingly good. It was a nice... more

This friendly little restaurant is owned and operated by Harvey & Sandy Sturm who live right behind the restaurant. This cafe is not just a business for them, it is a passion. I don't think I've ever met a couple who were more perfectly suited for running a restaurant. To start with, they are two of the friendliest people you... more

My B&B recommended this place for dinner. There are not so many options in Manzanita, especially in late November so we gave it a try. They have limited seating, which is usually a good sign. But in this case, I think it's part of a strategy to manage their food inventory. We had a late seating and it was Saturday... more

We've visited the Terra Cotta Cafe the past 2 years on our visits to Manzanita. We have always found our experience pleasant. We were there this past week and have noticed they no longer accept children or anyone under 21. I believe it has to do with the liquior license. I, myself, am appreciative of that as we go there... more
