I have been eating at Cafe Mundo since they were an outdoor-only restaurant with a little trailer kitchen. I have never once been disappointed with the food, Chef Laurie is in the kitchen every night, pouring her heart and soul into the fabulous meals that grace your table. The Albacore burgers are from local fisherman and always BBQ'd to perfection.... more

The food was really good, but the wait was extremely long. A varied menu, I had chicken mole tacos, and my wife and I shared two types of sushi. Definitely try the smoked salmon sushi! The place itself was a little on the dirty side. In fact, when I walked in I thought the place was still under construction. Then... more

I'd read a lot of great reviews here and was looking forward to trying Cafe Mundo. When we walked in it smelled great and we walked upstairs to seat ourselves. There were only a few people at a couple of tables and one group of six. Most were drinking water or beer and on their computers or talking. The waitress... more

This is a funky, earthy cafe with tasty food and decent prices. Beware if you go later in the evening though, it can get quite loud when the live music starts. more

We went for dinner. The menu offers a variety of things, it took awhile to decide. I ordered the grilled ahi tuna sandwich with homemade bun with wasabi, served with a baby greens salad and great salad dressing, it was quite fantastic-- it seemed like nearly a pound of very fresh ahi. And for $10-- amazing value. I sampled the... more

Loved every bit of it! Great atmosphere and ambiance, great food. Fun people. The night we were there in late Sept., there was a fun original blues band playing. Our 3 month old loved looking at all the fun colors and lights in the decor (as did we). Only word of caution is that the staff seemed slightly disorganized and... more

Great little place to get a feel for the local scene, while having a pleasant and enjoyable meal. Menu is very veg-friendly, and offers plenty of options for those looking to eat ethically (organic/local produce, etc.). Whereas the service was a bit lacking, it was fitting given the overall vibe and asthetic of the place. Open mic entertainment provided good... more

It is a little hard to spot, but we found it! The signage is not very obvious. SERVICE We like were standing there, wondering do you seat yourself? After asking, told that the restaurant was upstairs. So headed there, chose a seat by the railings looking over the band stage. That night was kinda folksy music , guess they have... more

Recommended by our innkeeper Eileen at the Grand Victorian bed and breakfast, this restaurant can start to be described as ‘bohemian’ and finished as ‘worthwhile’. It appears to be in a warehouse; the dining room is upstairs though there’s a (bar?) area downstairs near a stage. I had the fish tacos and my wife had a bacon cheese burger. The... more
