We ate at The Bistro last night, it's rare that we take the time to pass comment - but this place deserves it. Wow summarises it perfectly. The flavours of the food are exceptional, away from the norm, but perfect, the portions just right and the service superb. It represents excellent value for money, even the most expensive bottle of... More

I went here last week for dinner. Currently they are having a Morrocan themed week so there was a small menu of a mezze for starter, a choice of 3 tagines for main and a choice of two morrocan desserts. The food was really good, I particularly enjoyed the starter mezze plate. The service was great, they had a good... More

The Cookery School ran a session for a group of young people - they made Moroccan toasted couscous salad. Vey well-run training session, and they produced some delicious food. Even better was learning some new skills and understanding more about the nutrition that made this such a great dish to make. A fantastic evening. More

I grant you its december and a busy time for all restaurants but the lack or attention or even interest we recceived from our waiter was disgusting and really ruined our evening . Getting water on the table felt like climbing everest it took so long we must have asked 4 times! The food was ok quite tasty if closer... More

Should have written this on returning from a great day out with my sister to a cookery lesson and demonstration. For me the whole day was very entertaining, a little bit of history, a little bit of geography, hands-on baking, a good laugh, a few jokes and a great lunch. We made and took home our own bread and a... More

An excellent restaurant in the heart of Devizes. Peter Vaughan, the owner is a celebrated TV chef and the quality of food showed through. It may be a little expensive for some people but it is well worth it. Peter does do theme days when different types of food from many regions of the world are provided. Will visit again. More

We were first put on to The Bistro some years ago through friends. At first sight it looks like a small coffee shop just off the Market Place but there is actually quite a large dining room downstairs. What keeps us coming back for a Saturday lunch and the occasional dinner is the combination of good quality ingredients and wonderful... More
