We have lived in Newtown for 3 years and have run the gamit of restaurants in the area. I would say Cafe Con Leche wasa pleasant surpirse. We've walked by it many times dining at other Newtown establishments. Every time I order from Cafe Con Leche I want to try something new, but I always end up getting the quiche and soup of the day because I have never been disappointed. The ingredients are always fresh and everything I've tried has been delicious! more

The Gazpacho is fantastic, if it is on the menu in the summer, go for it, cold. The fish is always made wonderfully. The chef really knows his dishes. A great change of pace from the cookie cutter chains. more

I enjoyed my second visit to Cafe con Leche. Good food, (I enjoyed a salad with tuna), interesting menu (which will require more trips to investigate!); a great b.y.o.b. place for quiet getaway--the decor could use some upgrading in the area of the windows. They need window cleaning and maybe some hanging plants or other treatments to soften and add... more

If you have traded in Cosmo for Bon Appetit Magazine and can't wait for your monthly magazine delivery just to page through and decide what you will try..you will more than enjoy a meal at Cafe Con Leche.
