Food is good, service was nice, but it is a little on the pricey side. You do need to at least try this restaurant.
My GF and I were spending my birthday in the Wellsboro area and during our walking tour of downtown Wellsboro, we were amazed to see the Wellsboro Dinner. I say this because two days earlier we had breakfast in the Highland Park Diner in Rochester, New York and the two looked amazingly similar. As we entered the diner I told... More
My wife and I ate breakfast at the diner during both our stays in Wellsboro. We both found the meals to be very good. The service was fast and friendly. The diner car was like taking a little walk back in time. We will be returning during our next visit to Wellsboro.
Being from the philly/new jersey area, we frequent a lot of diners, and The wellsboro diner is an icon in wellsboro . Remember the old stainless steel diners of the 40s and 50s? Well here is one restored to its glory days in beautiful downtown Wellsboro, PA. Good menu with a lot of "comfort food" served up by a friendly staff. Fair prices and a great place to take kids,
Dh and I both had cheeseburgers. We sat at the bar and watched them being cooked. Nothing like a burger grilled on a well seasoned diner grill. Nice crust on the meat, grilled bun. Yum. Busy place, but if you are willing to sit at the bar you should get right in.
ate breakfast here on the way out on the recommendation of a friend. food was very good but the service was slow. the waitress seemed to be scatter brained and forgot things left and right. in my opinion this diner is one of those places that you need to try once and you're done with it. probably wouldn't go back.
