During our visit my husband and daughter in law wanted to go to the TAPS office, which by the way is basically an empty storefront but we got pictures anyway! The best place in Rhode Island for clam cakes and chowda. Beware - there is always a line, but the food sure is good and is bound to get you hooked. Sandwiches and burgers are good there as well and you'll always have a good seat to dine oceanside. more
What a cool place. You order outside on the sidewalk to a walk up window, then you can sit outside or inside. Even if the line looks long - it goes quick. I'm not sure if I got clam cakes or maybe they gave us hushpuppies since they seemed all dough and no clam in them. The doughboys - oooohhhhh... more

Stopped in during a road trip and enjoyed the experience. DoughBoys and clamballs were real good. Chowder was good but not great. Low keyplace is a good value. more
