Food and Atmosphere is great. Terrific breakfast and lunch only. No dinner is served. Best deserts around.
My husband was saying he wanted to do brunch this past weekend. We were heading to Hilton Head and I remembered seeing this cute restaurant when we had gone to the local farmers market. My husband had the big breakfast burrito. He is know to cover up his food with ketchup and hot sauce. Not this time! The homemade verde... More
I've been to the cottage a few times for breakfast and while good, the food was almost too "busy" which disguises pure good food. My mother was in town for a visit and we opted to go to The Cottage for lunch. Wow!!! the menu was so interesting and so many good choices and options. I had the gumbo while my... More
My wife and I were in the Bluffton area on a Saturday evening. In looking for a local place for dinner we basically stumbled on The Cottage...what a great find. The shrimp and grits were probably the best I have very had and the flounder my wife had was perfectly prepared. While we had to go to the display case... More
Three for breakfast - shrimp and cheese grits, green Benedict, and me a corned beef hash. All meals imaginative, superb, and big. We didn't eat again until supper! One can eat inside in a charming old room or on the porch. Service friendly, efficient, and of course gracious southern. Don't miss this!
we love the Cottage, we go every Sunday for breakfast after church. the food is excellent, the wait staff friendly. one of the highlights of our weekend. we have been to dinner several times and the food always outstandling!
Stopped for lunch while visiting Bluffton, SC, a town known for its history and concentration of accomplished artists. Stopped by the cottage on the spur of the moment to grab some lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the unique menu choices. Our server, Harry, was a delight and the meal did not disappoint. The pistachio cream layer cake we ordered... More
The service was almost shockingly bad. For a restaurant that calls itself a tea house, I had to ask three times for the waiter to bring me milk an a teaspoon (which arrived dirty). The food was almost cafeteria quality bad, nothing fresh, homemade or original about it. Plus terrible overpriced. Would avoid this place like the plague,
I have eaten here several times. Sad to say that I don't think I will be back b/c I do think the food is great- it' several other factors that will keep me away. I live here year round and am always looking to support our local businesses vs. the chains, but $50 for breakfast (2 adults and 1 child)... More
Always surprising us with their specials, if you've been to Bluffton and never eaten here then shame on you.
