We had a wonderful 5 course meal and 2 different wines that were paired with our meal for us. Our glasses were never empty and each course was better than the next. The chef paid attention to detail and the service was outstanding. Robert has a wonderful voice and he entertained us throughout the evening. The pianist played continually and... more

August 2, 2007: I have been to Robert's many times, but this time visited with my niece to celebrate her graduation. It was her 1st visit to Charleston and to Robert's. Robert's is a very small, softly-lit charming place for special occasions. Our menus were printed with "Congratulations" and my niece's name at the top of both our menus! What... more

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Robert's, and we both enjoyed it a great deal. The menu is pre-determined, and dinner consists of five courses served with complementary wines for around $85 a head. The food was good...not great, and nowhere near to being the best we've ever had...but fresh, fairly creative, and tasty with decent portion... more

You'd have to be 6 feet under not to enjoy Robert's and his wonderful staff's experience. Greeting, service, food, wine and entertainment top notch, and so sorry I waited years before I tried it. more

Had our anniversary dinner at Robert's in May. It was the first time we'd been to Robert's in his present location and, actually, the first time we'd been in a while. The food, of course, was excellent. But I have to say that it wasn't as much fun as we'd expected. While my husband and I are in our late... more

When planning our trip to Charleston, I researched many restaurants. I noticed that most of the Charleston restaurants reviewed on this website got mixed reviews, except for Robert's which had mostly positive reviews. I can definitely say that the experience was wonderful. Robert's has a small, cozy, intimate dining room perfect for conversation. All the artwork in the restaurant is... more

My husband and I celebrated my birthday with a trip to Charleston and Robert's was one of the high points! The restaurant is small seating only 35 people. The interior feels like you are dining in someone's home. The night we were there, a Wednesday in February, there were only 10 people dining. The dinner is a 5 course meal... more

Robert's of Charleston is a full evening experience. Robert's voice is so rich and wonderful. He is able to cover so many of the great Broadway shows in one evening. Joe and the dining room staff are ready to answer any questions that you may have. Joe's choice of wines match the food prepared by Robert's daughter deliciously. I love... more

I hate to disagree with so many positive reviews, but our experience was not overwhelming. My wife and I looked forward to celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Robert's during our stay in Charleston. To be perfectly clear, the ambiance was great and the service was excellent. The food, however, was mediocre at best. The evening started... more
