Coming from DC, where breakfast is usually limited to IHOP, Panera, etc...it is a breath of fresh air to dine in Charleston in the morning! Can be good food and service some mornings. But if you catch it on the wrong day, beware. Some servers are horrible (slow, putting in orders wrong) and management doesn't seem to mind making people wait outside in the oppressive heat while tables sit empty. LOVE their potato islands, but hate risking the chance of a bad meal. more

I don't live in Mt P but I make sure I make the short trek to Charleston Cafe from West Ashley at least once a week. Their menu is so diverse and so creative!
