Terrific fried chicken and sides...perfect location for those who work and shop in Cool Springs! They were so busy...need to expand!
You must get the carrot casserole!!! It looks like sweat potato casserole with marshmallows on top - It is great!!! I also had their excellent fried chicken. We were there for lunch and it filled up quickly. They had two high chairs so good for families. It can be challenging to send people through the "buffet" style line while waiting... More
We worked in Franklin for a contract job and went here at least three times a week. It is such good food that feels like mama made you. When our kid's from Utah came out to visit one summer we took them there wondering if they would like it as they are so picky with what they eat. They LOVED... More
We enjoy the meat and three vegetables that are down home country cooking. The food is available for carry out or eat in dinning. Nothing fancy....just good food.
Great little place. Clean. Fair price. Good southern cooking. Our party had the fried catfish, fried chicken and chicken brocolli casserole. All were good, but their sides were our favorite. Next time, I'll probably get a veggie plate.
I have been to Bishop's three times in the last year. Typical meat and three, nice portion sizes, delicious fried chicken and fish. I really enjoy the mashed carrots, which take on the flavor and consistency of sweet potatoes. I recommend Bishop's not only because it is the only meat and three in the Cool Springs area that I am... More
This is a nice little place serving up decent food. No gourmet fare here, but if you are hungry this is a good place to correct that. Southern staples such as fried and hot chicken, meatloaf, country fried steak and such. Nice veggie selection and lots of house made desserts. Prices are good. I would rather not eat off of... More
We really enjoyed the staff and food at this establishment. I'm from the city and I would pick this over other fast food franchises in a heartbeat. Definitely fulfilling, see for yourself. BTW, we loved the November weather in Tennessee!
Good southern cooking and cordial service. Served cafeteria-style, the food is well seasoned an true to southern tradition. Try the carrot suffle; it is a bit sweet, but remember it is a vegetable! Reasonably priced. Remember to ask for a loyalty card. We just earned 2 free meals bu going back often enough.
I love Turkey and Dressing, but have not found any out that is worth eating until today! Also got the rolls (very good), black-eyed peas, and green beans. The dessert looked good, but we are on a diet, so walked down and got yogurt at Pinkberry.
