A friend called me up: "For god's sake don't eat out anywhere on Valentine's night - restaurants don't use good quality ingredients because they know the tables are going to be full." I knew even on Valentine's night I would be able to trust The Old Bakery in Kingsbridge to make its usual divine food with the best ingredients. Its... More

I have been to this restaurant three times, the most recent of which was Valentine's Day. My boyfriend had never been, and had never had tapas before, and The Old Bakery was the perfect choice. The staff were very helpful, the atmosphere - with soft music, low ceilings, a small dining area and candles - was very romantic, and the... More

Dined at the Old Bakery today for lunch to celebrate valentines day, as always it was wonderful. We were looked after by very attentive staff who made fantastic recommendations and really looked after us, the food was great, we had the special soup, Chorizo and Chickpea which was delicious along with some old favourites from the main menu. It didn't... More

my partner and i ate here for our anniversary and it was lovely. beautiful selection of tapas, a lovely waitress who was knowledgeable about the menu and wine and on her recommendation we enjoyed some very tasty wine, unfortunately on a friday night we were surprised to see all but one other table in there empty, which seemed a shame,... Feels harsh to criticise a restaurant that I would definitely use again and have scored highly but there are a couple of things (food excluded) that they need to sharpen up, we sat for 15 minutes at lunchtime without any attention at a table without any menus. I got up to get three menus from the bar and sat with... More

Went to this restaurant because it is one of the few which aren't Indian, Chinese or a pub and it's become a favourite. The food is spectacular, really authentic and the chef is only too happy to explain anything. The staff are very helpful in explaining what the dishes are and are always upbeat and friendly and the restaurant itself... More

Went on the back of good Tripadvisor reviews. Good decor and atmosphere. Waited 20 mins to get any drinks or food orders, not good with 3 hungry teenagers. Good selection of starters and white wine was acceptable but should have been a lot colder. Asked for an ice bucket but wasn't forthcoming for another 10 mins. Staff pleasant enough but... More

Great for breakfast - good coffee. No breakfast menu but will cook you eggs etc and serve with their own delicious home made breads. Don't let the slightly tired decor put you off More
