This seems like a nice pub to go for a drink but we would not in anyway recommend the food. The battered cod and chips is not freshly battered (as most places now do), but pre frozen. It was served undercooked with overdone chips. An effort was made with the steak and ale pie to make it fresher by cooking... More

We have been coming down to Barry and Irene's pub from Somerset every week since they moved from the Maypole Inn in Thurloxton near Taunton. We have never had a bad meal there ,the vegetables must be the "best in the West" .We strongly recommend the fish pie,the cajun Chicken and the whale sized battered haddock. This place is definitely worth a... The help from the Landlord and all the staff with making this a memorable occasion, from letting us having a private room , helping me to decorate and excellent service. the food was very good. We could not fault anything. We would recommend the Pymore to anyone who would want to hold an evening with their family or friends.

Great menu, we loved the quirky cards the options were written on. Friday fish and chips great , good pile of chips and peas for us to help ourselves. Cajun chicken nice and spicy too. Lemon meringue pie and pancake for pud hit the spot too. Choice of ale, lovely to see St Austell beers! Good value for money and... More

We have revisited this great little pub after discovering it last year, its as good as we remember, the food is still exellent and the host is very welcoming. It is such a shame that pubs like this are not used as much as they should be. If you are around the Bridport area and hungry you should give this pub a... More

After hearing many recent good things about the Pymore Inn, me and my partner decided to take a trip here one Thursday evening. We were welcomed into a warm, friendly pub and the atmosphere appeared to be vibrant. The food here is not one of those fancy top notch restaurants, instead, it's traditional pub food, cooked to an excellent standard.... More

Staying at the cottages opposite having a pub literally on the doorstep was a bonus! Lovely home-cooked food. The haddock & chips were fabulous on our first meal there. the landlord & his wife are friendly & offered information on the area. Please support a local business if you're in the area. There are often offers on, when we went... More

We visited The Pymore Inn over the 2011 Easter weekend having asked for a recommendation from staff at our holiday base - I'd asked for a good pub that serves food, has a nice beer garden, ok for the dog to be there etc etc. We arrived at the Inn and were both impressed and a little surprised in equal...
