About two years ago Miss Mary Bobo's got a new chef and the restaurant has really taken off. You will not get a better meal of traditional Southern food than at Miss Mary Bobo's. Chef Michael Bradley knows his stuff and is a native of the area. Go hungry, you will be glad to have plenty of room in your... more

I had read a few of the comments just before my spouse and I were going. He had assured me that this was really good home cooked southern food (he had been several years ago). The comments from last year were not at all good. But the comments from this year were. I don't know what might have changed from... more

I would reccomend that anyone touring the Jack Daniel facility include Miss Bobo's for their dining. The food is good, solid, Southern cooking but nothing more. Food is served family style at a table for 12-15. Atmosphere is pleasant but not outstanding. You will not leave hungry but a little lighter in the wallet. It costs to be a tourist... more

I visited Ms. Mary Bobo's on Saturday, April 18th and it was worth EVERY penny. We dined at 3:00 on Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Apples, Fried Okra, Macaroni and Cheese and other heavenly items. I nearly had to roll myself out of there, the food was SUPERIOR. I do not like meatloaf normally and this meatloaf literally melted in... more

We are from Wisconsin and decided to make reservations at Miss Mary Bobo's while we were down in Tennessee for a fishing trip. What wonderful food, and all delicious and hot! Fried chicken, sliced pork w/gravy, turnip greens, fried okra, scalloped tomatoes, home made rolls, sweet tea. French coconut custard pie with Jack Daniels laced whipped cream for dessert...mmmm. The... more

I have traveled and eaten at many restaurants throughout the world. Mary Bo Bo's is one of the greatest experiences. The charm is in the simple yet wonderful food and the exceptional hospitality of the hosteses. I'll go back time and time again. Make it a stop on your journey. more

I ate at Miss Mary Bobo's for the first time today. I went with a friend that had been there once before and raved about it. I was not disappointed. I was born and raised in the south and have had LOTS of southern cooking. Everything was fabulous. The meatloaf was among the best I've ever tasted. The hostess that... more

I am sure that I will not be able to do the experience we had today at Miss Mary Bobo's justice by describing it but I will do my best. There were 20 of us that traveled up from Northern Alabama to enjoy the food and history lesson and I am positive that it wouldn’t be hard to get all... more

I had a friend visiting here from California and thought it would be a nice Southern treat to go to Mis Bobo's. Since I had eaten there in the past and was very pleased with the food and the sweet hostesses I had had , I just knew she would be in for a real Southern experience. She had an... more

I have been to Miss Mary Bobo's several times and have never come away disappointed in the least. From the ambiance of the restaurant itself to the gracious hostess (they all claim it's the best job in the world!) to the wonderful food, I go there as often as my travels take me. Several hints: ask to be seated at... more
