We enjoyed our meal here--I got the open-faced roast beef sandwich and my hubbie got a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Very enjoyable--a little pricey. On another trip we tried a chocolate shake made with chocolate ice cream and 1/2 and 1/2 cream. Yummy! more

I read about this place on trip advisor and thought it might be nice to try. The food was very yummy...i loved the fried pickles! I got the club and my boyfriend got the patty melt. We both liked our selections. However, we still ended up paying $27 for the meal. Not the cheapest lunch...but neat atmosphere and polite staff.... more

The Diner was a really cute place to eat. The waitresses have to wear skirts similar to poodleskirts. The atmosphere was great and the service was good too. The prices weren't bad for a tourist area. We tried the deep fried pickles which weren't that bad. the food was normal diner food, nothing too extraordinary. The owner even went from... more

Have to admit we are not normally the ones to take a chance on a less than brand name resturant. Really glad we did, lot of fun for the kids to see the old style diner with really reasonable food and very good service. Do yourself a favor and forget the fast food names for once and try this place.... more

We visited The Diner on our way to Bryson City in April for breakfast. The decor was typical 50's flair with, black and white checkered floor, sparkly red and white vinyl booths with chrome accents. The diner was bright and fairly clean. Although the men's room was out of order when we visited. I'd rate the food as being mediocre.... more

The grounds outside and inside are very well kept. The staff all dress in 50's outfits. They are very friendly and down to earth. The food was very good. I was very impresed at the taste after discovering they do not use salt and oil with low trans fat. The onion rings are out of this world and the fried... more
