Delicious food in an inexpensive, funky restaurant. We spent the night at the adjoining La Osa Flojo hotel (same owners), which is charming and unique - a really great place to stay in a teeny town 4 miles off the interstate. Well worth the extra time to get there, and much nicer than the hotels in the towns right on... more
this was the only restaurant in balmorhea, but it was GOOD, cheap, and cute! yummy mexican food and spicy salsa! more
Great food and atmosphere. Food is a reasonable price. It's not a five star restaurant but it's definately one of the best places(and the only places) in balmorhea. La Cueva De Oso or The Bear Den has a cute small town mexican atmosphere although the place is a bit tattered. I would definately reccomend La Cueva de Oso to anyone... more
