Knowing we were going to pass through Bastrop, I was looking for somewhere to eat, not a chain restuarant and a bit off the beaten path. Nice little find in Baxter's. A quaint, comfortable, newly remodeled, eatery in the historic section of downtown Bastrop...perfect for a romantic dinner. Beautiful romantic setting, nice food, friendly servers. GREAT DESSERTS! Creme Brulee and bread pudding are both awesome. I also like that it is in the historic downtown district. more
