My husband planned a last minute birthday dinner for five couples at Lanny's this past weekend. Everything was incredible! We had the Sea Bass and Carne Asada that was so perfectly prepared that we are still talking about it days later! The service was friendly and attentive in every respect. This is a foodie mecca - Mexican is the inspiration for this French prepared cuisine. Creative incorporation of Asian, molecular gastronomy, and French flavor. Decor is classic modern with clean soothing lines. more

A very interesting menu, combined with an eclectic wine list, made for a great dining experience. It is not typical Tex-Mex or even upscale Mexican, but rather European dishes with a Mexican flair. The tasting menu was a bargain, too. more

Considering the price, average entree ~$40, and the portion size, Lanny's Alta Cocina Mexicana fails to live up to expectations. I ordered a breaded Halibut which was a nice size piece of fish but lacked any flavor or significant accoutrement. The bland entree was garnished with a few lentils and 5 or 6 grapes.
