I don't know what it is with Texas and smoking in restaurants, but it is enough to make one not return, even if the food is excellent. When the staff is complaining about the smoke, you know it is bad. We had a baby and asked to be sat in a separate room away from the smoke but they refused.... more

I have eaten at La Bodega in both Midland and Odessa for the last 30 years. The food has remained consistently great all these years. I love the Beef Rueda and my wife loves the raisin chili rellenos. This is more of a Southwestern Flavor than Southern Mexican food. Absolutely recommended!!! more

I have eaten many a chile relleno in my day, but the absolute best I've ever had are La Bodega's shrimp chile rellenos. The combination of sour cream, raisins, and pecans may sound strange at first, but once you try it, you'll be hooked! They also use poblano peppers, so their rellenos have a little more bite than most. more

I believe La Bodega has great food and a great environment. The restaurant is very clean and the service is great. The waitresses speak good enough English that I know what they are saying. Eat here for good food and a good time. more
