Moby Dick's has great food and a fun atmosphere. My friends and I eat there at least once when in Port Aransas.
We celebrated our anniversary by dining here again! the seafood is alwasy fried so fresh and it is sizzling on the plate.. I also think the portions are a good size and alot of selections.. I think the pirate/sea decorations all over the place is what i like the most about this place.. Its a nice place for kids too...... More
Have had breakfast the many times and it was great. Decided to give it a shot for dinner. Sat at table for 15 minutes before someone even took our drink order. 5 minutes later got drinks and placed order. 40 minutelater we get our food ( grilled shrimp, crablegs, and seafood sampler) all dishes were cold and had to be... Had a dinner meal at MD's and my partner had the grilled shrimp and I had the crab/shrimp salad. Grilled shrimp was a bit too over spiced and over done, but good. My crab/shrimp salad was huge and seafood was very fresh. Our waiter Jacob was awesome. We will likely return for another visit next time in Port A. They... More
.The food was good and the shrimp is from the Texas Gulf, or so they say and I have no reason to doubt them. My shrimp and fish was good, nothing special but good, and my wife enjoyed her steam pot. She said the potatoes tasted a little old but the rest of the food in the steam pot was... More
We were looking for a close place to our hotel. We found luckily this place. Its a good decorated place, good for kids and families. We have enjoyed also being a young couple, and asking the chicken breast and the combo shrimps. Good food, good service, good place. Maybe a little touristic, but 7/10.
The atmosphere was a little cheesy but fun and tried to almost have a Disneyland pirates vibe. The server was training a newbie and they were both very nice. The trainer really knew the menu well...much better than servers in nearby restaurants. The food arrived in a timely manner and was hot. The avocado burger and their gumbo are both... More
Interesting décor - beachy, fake fish coming out of the wall, crab pots hanging from the ceiling, and very typical fried menu. No one in our party of 7 had any complaints. It was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Service was fine but not stellar. Food was fine but not memorable.
Moby Dick's is relaxed, laid back and there is plenty of space and ambient noise that kids didn't seem to be intruding on the atmosphere and eating experience of others. Had the school of fired fish filets (a lot of fish) and the fried shrimp were large & tasty. The sides & garlic bread were good. I don't think what... More
