We came down in spring 2009 and had breakfast a few times and it was great good service and food "every time". But once we had the fajitas we were hooked! I am not much of a breakfast eater so my husband would order the fajitas and I would order their grapefruit which has always tasted like it is fresh... more
Coffee was terrible...hashbrowns were at least a day old.... biscuits were from a generic can and almost warm...the butter was rancid.... We went to Ted's after going to the Sea Turtle Rescue (which is awesome). It's a diner so get beyond the decor (though the holes in the ceiling are unsightly). We had the houevos rancheros, pancakes, mexican scrambles eggs, drinks. Everything was really good and so was the service. To bad we went here on our last day. more
This is one of the oldest restaurants on the island! And they have great homey feeling food, especially breakfast! Their fruit plate is beautiful too. more

This small homely place was absolutely fabulous for breakfast. Their breakfast tacos are an absolutely delight, and the service was great. Would highly recommend popping in here for breakfast if you are in South Padre Island. more
Read on TripAdvisor that Ted's was among top 5 most popular restaurants on South Padre, so though we would try it for breakfast on the last day of our trip.
