What a gem! If you've ever eaten at a Parisian bistro you'll be amazed by this very busy eatery in the middle of downtown. The look and feel is so authentic, the food is wonderful, and our server was fantastic! The only "drawback" would be that the tables, just like in Paris, are very close together. Of course, for us,... more

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. It's a beautiful old building that's been repurposed as a restaurant but has retained the great character and architectural detail. Appetizer of pate was amazing - two different kinds of pate that were among the best I've ever tasted. Cheese plate appetizer was also great - a very tasty variety of good local cheeses.... more

We recently enjoyed a brief visit to Burlington, our first in over 20 years, en route to our niece's Adirondack wedding. We drove the Kancamangus highway from Maine, enjoying the brilliant foliage and breathtaking vistas along the way. But that meant we arrived in Burlington in late afternoon, a little tired and very hungry. The early-bird special at Leunig's was... more

This place looked very good, and was certainly popular. The guy ahead of us in the queue was telling us how very good it was. The lady on the reception was very pleasant, told us a table would be 10 minutes, and said that we could have a drink at the bar whilst we waited. There were so many people... more

In a recent visit to Burlington, our group stopped here for dinner. Due to a time constraint, two of us asked the server if we could just order two quick appetizers as we had an appointment. My partner had the crab cake (1) and I had the small House Salad. To look at the menu, it should have come to... more

The food was below average at this quaint bistro that comes recommended by N.Y. Times reporters ! The fish was an "Eco" fish and had an off taste. The pasta had flavorless chicken strips. Service was decent and the wine last was okay. more

On a recent trip to Burlington we had dinner at Leunig's Bistro. The Boeuf Bourguignon was incredible. I'm glad we stayed to enjoy the meal as we almost refused the table offered. Our table for two was wedged between other diners. There was perhaps 4 inches between tables making it difficult to have an enjoyable conversation with my husband. We... more

We spent a couple days in Burlington on our honeymoon, and Leunig's was one of our splurge meals. We enjoyed the jazz, and the windows were open to the sidewalk. The service was good and food was great. I think the value was good and there likely isn't a more unique place in Burlington. more

My husband and I used to love going to Leunig's but on our most recent trip in August 2009, it was definitely a disappointment. The food was not very good and seemed to be way overpriced. Also, our waitress was extremely forgetful, and then brought the bill without even asking if we'd like dessert. (And, Leunig's: Thanks for the measly... more

Terrific food served al fresco. The filet was just right, and the roast duck was flavorful and prepared excellently. Starter salads were cold, crisp and nicely dressed. Good selection of bar drinks, including many locally-prepared draft beers. Service was spot-on, friendly and paced properly. As far as cost, compared to other cities, this menu is well-priced for the value received.... more
