I stayed next door in a basic place so was expecting this place to be vegetarian or health food. Was i thrilled they were not.Living in a small town in Mn you never would see escargots on any menu. they were perfect. the Maine crab cakes were super. nice portions and presentation. I was touring around solo, and found it... more

My daughter and I travelled to Burlingtion for a long weekend at the end of April. I looked online and gathered information about Pauline's Cafe. What interested me was the ad about two dinners for $30.00. This would include a starter and main course. I figured you could spend that amount of money on the usual mid range fast food... more

My family went to Sunday brunch at Pauline's for the first time in about a year - while we'd always had pretty good experiences there, the quality of what we were served had declined considerably from our last visit. My daughter got an omlette that was overdone, dry and salty, with a side of fried potatoes that was cold and... more

We had originally planned to eat in the city at the Five Spice, but discovered (and verified) that it was no longer around. Since we were staying outside the city literally next door, we decided to try Pauline's based on a few onilne reviews. It was a very lucky choice. We both ended up with identical orders. We tried the... more

We were looking for a place to have lunch as we neared the Burlington airport. We didn't want fast food or a chain restaurant, and most of the nicer places in the area are not open for lunch. We decided to try Pauline's and were not disappointed -- both the food and the service were very good. It seemed to... more

Pauline's is very busy in the evenings - reservations are recommended. We arrived without reservations and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Their menu is somewhat limited, but we ordered off of the appetizer menu and found the portions large enough for a meal. Service could be improved a bit - it was slow and less than attentive. Additionally,... more

We were getting gas & didn't know where to eat-next door to the Mobil station was Pauline's Cafe right on Rt 7 in Burlington. It looked nice, so we took a chance. The food was great, a little pricey-20.00 for salmon, but would recommend. Will return if in the area again. Cozy atmosphere. more

Spent 3 nights in the Shelburne/Burlington area recently and thought we would be relegated to chain restaurants on "the strip" (traveling companion physically unable to stroll the Church Street area in Burlington). What a surprise and find to come across Pauline's. Very unpretentious looking, but great food and wine. Everything was fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend it. Service... more

What a find amongst the standard chain fast food joints. Excellent meal and top quality beer too. Try the local Switchback beer, just as good as proper British beer. more

We enjoyed a very good dinner at Pauline's. It was good to find an upscale restaurant after a few trips to this area. We shared the rack of lamb and spring scallop entrees. Both were excellent. The dinner salad we select was simple, but very fresh and a good mixture of tastes. The bread was fresh, but nothing special. The... more
