We've been hearing about Savour from our friends and finally made our first visit tonight. We'll be back - again and again. I rarely feel like raving about a restaurant, but Savour is one-of-a-kind: delicious food, glorious presentation, attentive service, warm, comfortable and classic decor - and a chef/owner that visits with his guests. There are so many ways in... more

We tried this restaurant as it was listed number 1 on tripadvisor and also had some recommendations from the area. It was superb, the food was fabulous, the service spot on and the ambiance could not be beat. We were seated by the fireplace which was perfect on a chilly night, everyone was so attentive including the owner who went... more

This has got to be one of the best restaurants in Charlottesville. The food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. Not only that, the owner is the nicest man ever! If you get a chance, talk to Ed. He is so generous and will do everything he can to please his guests. The decor of the restaurant and the... more

I have dined in many countries in Europe, but primarily in New York City, Savour fully met my expectations of what a fine restaurant is all about. The beautifully appointed room wit h its two-sided fireplace was quite inviting. Our meal was delicious and made with such fresh ingredients. Our server patiently answered all our questions when she brought out... more

We had just checked into The Foxfield Inn on Friday night and discovered this gem of a restaurant by chance. Lucky us! Ed, the chef and owner, is a most wonderful and gracious host. The food was exceptional, especially given as there were two large parties being accommodated at the same time. It was the weekend of our engagement and... more

My husband and I had a most memorable dinner at the Savour REstaurant. The chef/owner was most accomadating and came to our table, as he did for others, and ensured that his preparations would suit our particular tastes. We always prefer to order the specials of the day at a new place for us. So thoroughly enjoyed the lamb soup,... more

Ate here in October 2009. Practically everything on the menu sounded great. Food presentation was excellent-- everything looked great. Unfortunately, our meals lacked sufficient flavor to justify the expense. For example, my stuffed pork chop was served medium instead of well done -- no, I wasn't asked -- and it was the smallest I've ever seen. (It was pre-sliced, too,... more

We love the top restaurants- French Laundry-Napa, Jean George= NYC, Swag-NYC, Kinkaeds-DC,, Town House-Chilhowie. Each define the area- Savour define Charlottesville cuisine. The Menu is extensive with creative and interesting presentations. A three course meal for $30 is underpriced! Appetizers of Scallops in black bean mashed potatoes, Salmon Pate, Ahi tuna, etc follwowed by entrees of duck, rabbit, veal, salmon,... more

Easy to find, wonderfully warm and comfortable inside. Super comfy chairs, soft butter (an issue for me in most restaurants...trying to spread frozen pieces of butter on even the tastiest home-baked bread is annoying)...the service was professional and attentive. We chose the squid appetizer as well as the pork app. Both were delicious. For mains we had the seared tuna... more
