Durty Nelly's is a long-time deli that serves some pretty good sandiches but in a dark, rundown, dingy space attached to the rear of a small grocery. I sometimes stop by to pick up a sandwich at lunch but it is not a pleasant place to sit and eat. more

Durty Nellys Pub & Wayside Deli are in the same location. The place next door is Olde Virginia Fried Chicken (aka Wayside Take-Out). Wayside Deli does NOT sell Fried Chicken. I have never had a bad sandwich from the Wayside Deli. The sandwiches are made to order and always fresh. more
Durty Nelly's Pub is next to Wayside Deli. They are 2 different restaurants! I've only been to Wayside and they have awesome Fried Chicken! more
Durty Nelly's / Wayside Deli has the biggest, freshest , and best sandwiches in Central Virginia. The bar stocks a huge selection of bottle and draft beers, and they are icy cold! Contrary to what another reviewer has written, this establishment does NOT sell fried chicken or cheeseburgers... the reviewer has mistaken this for a different neighborhood take-out joint. I used to live down the street from Wayside, and we would get the fried chicken all the time. The Cheese burgers are great too. The bar is a local hang out for old timers. Good place for a beer. I will always go back when I'm in town. more
