Excellent Afghan food! The meat filled dumplings for an appetizer are great to share, and the lamb chops are cooked perfectly. The pumpkin side dish (I know, I thought it sounded weird too) was delicious--spicy and sweet. more

I have eaten here for lunch and dinner at least 4 times and plan to return. The quality of the food is excellent. Occaisionally service can be indifferent, probably due to a lack of experienced waitstaff. Some evenings the ambiance was enhanced by an Afgan violinist playing. Feel free to order any food item. Six of us ate at Bamian in Falls Church a few nights ago and were delighted by the food, service, and ambience. We started out with several appetizers, with the definite favorite being the aushak, Afghan ravioli stuffed with chopped scallions. I've eaten here 3-4 times on trips through Washington, and always had a unique and tasty meal here. Service is perfect. Everything is fresh and wholesome. Prices are very fair. more
