We visited The Willow Tree one evneing whilst we stayed in the area for a short break. We had no idea what to expect when we walked in to order a meal, but the warm welcome and tasteful decor was the first part of a wonderful dining experience. All the food is cooked by the Chef who is also the... More

Great people, great beer (Handley's Beer made by Brett on the premises) and of course, great food. The large steak and ale pie, which comes with a jug of gravy, is awesome! You just have to try it..... Have eaten here of many occasions and every time is perfect. What else can I say! Thanks Brett and Kathryn, I'll be... More

We bike down to the Willow Tree as often as we can as the food is the best pub food we have found for miles! The service is always second to none. The landlord, landlady and all the staff are so welcoming. If you are looking for quality food (and ale!) in a friendly environment then do not hesitate in... More

Decided to try the Willow tree after reading the reviews on here. The pub itself has a lovely Cosy feel with friendly welcoming staff. The menu has a good selection of starters and mains all at very good prices. My partner and I both had the pate to start Which was delicious. My partner had the steak and ale pie... More

Great staff, friendly and efficient service. The meal was to die for, Goats cheese and red onion tart, chestnut mushrooms in cream and Stilton, T Bone steak perfectly cooked, Stuffed Chicken Breast, Homemade Sticky toffee pudding and homemade Ice cream. All in all a fabulously tasty, well presented, well cooked meal! I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone I... More

We visited as a group whilst working at the Cereals Show. A really good choice. The food was fantastic, nice to see quality food and a litlle bit different. A real nice cheange from a pub serving the usual 'pub grub' that only requires a cook rather than a talented chef. Well done More

Stayed at the Willow Tree Cottages next door and ate at the Willow Tree two nights running. Excellent food, all freshly prepared, this is never going to be a fast food restaurant, thankfully. The staff are attentive, but not intrusive, the service was excellent. There are some excellent real ales and Thatchers cider is also sold on draught. My only... More

I stayed at the Willows B&B next door to this pub, so had a few evening meals / drinks in the Willow Tree. I found every item I ordered tasty, well seasoned and cooked, certainly a cut above regular pub-type food! Not very cheap (and with vegetables etc as an extra on main courses), but definitely worth at least one... More
