Wagner's Bakery makes the best Fruit Cake in the world. It is addicting and I look forward to each Christmas because they only make it during this time. I don't like Fruit Cake but I LOVE the fruit cake they make. Excellent Bakery. Wish there was one in my town. more
First, two hints: (1) This is the place to go for a box lunch. They make splendid hot and cold sandwiches and throw in a drink, a salad and a desert with the box lunch. Very convenient. (2) They definitely make the best cakes in town, and will do all the usual custom stuff if you need a special event... more

the food is great, however they seem unsanitary at times!!! more
My husband and I have had a chance to sample several of their pastries and cakes. Two of our favorites are the cheese danish and the german chocolate cake. You won't be disappointed with either. We bought a selection of pastries for my family when they came to visit. They enjoyed them so much they bought more to take home.... more
Wagner's is one of our "must visit" locations when traveling through Olympia. Thankfully, I didn't know about them when I lived in Olympia or I may have been visiting them daily! I now measure every bakery I visit against Wagner's and have yet to find one that I like better. Their cinnamon bread is like nothing else...far more rolls in... more
Great place to get cakes for parties. expensive. but worth it. more
I can't say much about their deli but their baked goods are hardly above average. They are all overly sweet. If you've ever been to an actual bakery in Europe, this is nothing like it, at least not the ones I've been to. Their presentation is nice but other than that expect an average sweet pastry or cake. more
5 stars for pastries....sandwiches are overpriced and only so-so. more
