Ellen's is a "must do" when in Charleston! Legendary and yummy treats in downtown Charleston! Great date place and child friendly ... Perfect mid-morning, afternoon, after dinner treat retreat! Great energy and fun location to just stop and people watch on rainy, snowy, and sunny days! more
We tried Ellen's Homemade Ice Cream after reading all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor and found it to be quite delightful. It's near the business/capitol district where you can walk around after purchasing your dessert. We enjoyed our peach ice cream and their original mango-lemon grass sorbet which was quite tasty! In the fall, try the pumpkin ice cream or the pumpkin ice cream pie. You can order a "pie" and take it home for Thanksgiving!! Wonderful taste-can't beat it. more
