We've been there twice now, and both times have been immensely pleased. First and foremost, the food is top notch. The ambience is pleasant, the waitstaff is friendly and competent, and the best part is the prices are very reasonable. In fact, for those prices, you can not find a better place! I can't wait to eat there again! more
Our family went to Big Tomatoes for our son's graduation meal and there were 8 of us and everyone loved their entree. The service was excellent with the waitress very attentive and friendly and of course, the ambience is so warm and interesting, being that it is in an old hardware store. Big Tomatoes is a fail-safe place to bring your date, your parents, co-workers or clients. There is something for everyone on the menu - and at all prices. The menu is a fresh, modern take on Italian...the scallops and the monkfish are delicious! more
Hello Everyone, We have not yet dined at either the Green Bay or Neenah location of Big Tomatoes. My partner and I are planning to go to the Neenah restaurant this Saturday, 1/17/09. Can any of you provide any insight for us before we make a final decision? Thanks. Felmax, Oshkosh more
We had poor service and the food was cold when it arrived about 90 minutes later. We almost walked out-This is the 2nd time we had this experience in the last couples of months. What is going on??!! We decided not to return. more
I am a big fan of Big Tomatoes! Their appetizers and delightful and the entrees are always tastebud ticklers. The ever-changing features always reflect the time of year and what is just right for the season. I'm not a wine drinker, so I can't speak to the wine list like other reviewers have. Big Tomatoes is a great value for a fine dining experience. Fantastic service, interesting menu. There is a mix of ho-hum food for the picky/safe eater and more adventurous fare for the foodie-type. The wine list is fairly limited but has a reasonable mark-up and includes the classic pairings. The service is always outsanding and Chef Larry is very talented. more
NIce place, well adorned, classy for Green Bay. Wine list is short and not terribly interesting. We had one of the appetizers specials, gnocchi with shrimp and sausage, excellent sauce. We ordered two different pastas for dinner, not at all exciting. We didn't have dessert. Well, for Green Bay, it's a pretty good place, but nothing to get excited about. more
