gilberts is without a doubt the finest,most exceptional restaurant in southwest wisc. The food is beyond expectation and would revival any cuisine found anywhere. Everything is expensive and the smallest portions imaginable which is probably why the restaurant is for sale. The house is beautiful just go to the bar, have a drink and skip dinner. more

I finally tried Gilberts after I had heard a few things about it..some positive. The food was not at all what I expected. Very small portions and VERY VERY overpriced. The atmosphere was stuffy and the staff was disinterested. There are much better options in Lake Geneva. more

The most expensive restaurant we have ever eaten at in our lives, and we eat out alot. The presentation of the food was great, but the taste was just okay. This is an above average restaurant for the area. We live here, and find it difficult to eat good food out. Gilberts had exceptional service.. and I know the owners use local home grown food sources as much as possible.. The ambience is wonderful in an old victorian mansion. We even saw the chef running out to the front garden... more
