We stumpled upon Senor Billy's while driving out from Volcano on the big island, we were hungry and just deciede to stop at the first place we came across and we are really glad it was here - food was amazing and really reasonably priced, we were in hawaii for three weeks and it became a standard joke - what... more
I frequent Senior Billy's for the friendly service, nice owners, warm setting...and above all these, for their killer chimichangas and burritos. Being a local, there are a few Mexican food choices in the Kealakekua/Captain Cook area, but I always end up back at Senior Billy's. more
What's great: Very reasonable prices. Thick, crispy chips. What appears to be house-made salsas - fresh, flavorful and wonderful. Nutty, short-grained rice. Fresh tomatoes. Creamy, limey salad dressing. What's not so great: Packaged, pre-shredded cheese. This stuff is powdery and SO unappetizing. It is really that much cheaper? Pre-packaged green salad mix. We had a very nice meal here. Very good and quite a nice price. Of the 3 dishes we ordered, the best was the wet burrito with shredded beef. more
This small mexican restaurant sits on the main road (left side when heading north) in Captain Cook on the Big Island. My teenage daughter and I ate there in July, 2007. WOW! The service was fast and friendly. The portions were huge, and the food very tasty. Prices are extremely reasonable. more
