I enjoyed Dara's food, we had summer rolls, pineapple rice and a curry dish. We asked for extra peanut sauce, but never received it. The food was tasty, but the portions were not very big. We made a reservation at Dara's Thai during our holiday break and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, located in the Mauna Lani Shops center. The quality of the food was excellent, service was fine, and the prices reasonable. We had Garlic Chicken, fried rice and Pad Thai and would definitely go back here again. more
The food was excellent. Best Summer Rolls I ever tasted! Service was average. Prices are high for Thai food but then again every restaurant on the island is pricey. For the budget concious, go between 5PM and 6PM and get 50% off your bill, except for alcohol. more
We live in Waikoloa and dine at Dara's weekly....sometimes twice a week. they have the best Thai food. they use the freshest ingredients and best cuts of meat than most thai I have had......the others use pieces of meat with fat on them and are usually scraps. Located in the Shops at Mauna Lani (at the Mauna Lani Resort, just past the traffic circle). We live about 1/4 mile from Dara's, and eat there regularly.
