My husband and I dined at Roy's twice during our 10-night vacation on the Big Island. It is that good! From the fresh local fish to the impeccable service, we had the best dinners on the island here! Brian, our server is truly fantastic. We celebrated our wedding anniversary during our first dinner and the staff was very gracious. The... more

Only way they could do better would be if they had a large outdoor seating area. more

My family of 5 adults dined at Roy's. I am in agreement with previous reviews. Top quality food and good service. Two of us ordered the Hibachi Grill Trio ($36) and it was very good. The other entrees were also of a high standard. Comprehensive wine list and the cocktails were also good. Would recommend this restaurant. Bill was $70... more

We had the Ahi tuna appetizer, TNT dynamite fish and the macadamia nut tort for desert. Everything was great. The tuna appetizer was done as a roll and served warm, which is unusual, but it was really good and highly recommended. The TNT dynamite fish was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. The sauce is fantastic.... more

We thought there is no good food in Big Island, boy were we wrong. We arrived in late afternoon and felt too lazy to drive to find dinner places in Kona since we were staying in the Wiakoloa beach resort area. We walked to the King's shop and decided to just go to Roy's (without knowing any review about it)... more

We had 8 $100+ meals on our honeymoon between Maui, Oahu and the Big Island. This was by far our favorite out of all of them. Excellent service, excellent food/ingredient freshness and quality. My fillet mignon was "island raised, grass fed" and was one of the best and most tender steaks I have ever had, cooked perfectly medium rare complimented... more

Don't believe the review that said they have items from $14 -- those are 2 ounce appetizer portions. The standard entree here runs about $30, and the best deal is the prix fixe at about $44 without wine which includes appetizer and dessert. The good news is that you will enjoy your meal. Every item we tried was well prepared,... more

We went here our last night of vacation, and saved the best for last. It was just wonderful. Great service, great appetizers-the ribs were out of this world-and we loved our main courses as well. We especially appreciated the children's menu that our seven year old thought was delicious as well. It was our favorite meal of all the meals... more

Fusion - Hawaiian - great food and aloha Tropical Fruit Creme Brulee - absolutely the best. We usually order the chocolate souffle but this time decided to try something different. We were rewarded. However, every time I get a sauteed fish, I'm disappointed with the slightly overcooked oil flavor like the oil in the pan was burned before the fish... more

Great service, great food. We are more budget travelers (even on our honeymoon) so we would share the prix fixe menu and order some sushi appetizers and wine for a pretty good price for two. Wine list was wonderful. I will be visiting Roy's restaurants on the mainland. more
