We just returned from a 10 day stay in Kauai. Of all the places we ate, Kalypso's was the only place we wanted to return to. The calamari was the best we have ever had and the fish and chips were also great. more

This review is purely for drinks and appetizers (pu-pu's) Kalypso's is a laid back place in a laid back town. Any expectations of fine dining or even a unique dining experience should be removed. This is a spot for stopping on the way back to your house or condo from the beach or hike for a drink and some food... more

Whenever I am in Hanalei, I make it a point to have dinner or brunch at Kalypso! Wonderful food, reasonably priced and you can catch a favorite game too! more

Very good location and great island atmosphere. That's all.:( Poorly run service, lacking any clear leadership. Food sits for way too long. Someone please explain the meaning of expedite to these people. Cold Food. Order a drink and nothing, order your food and you get some of it. Lots of potential but that is all. more

The shrimp tacos at Kalypso were OUT of this world. We also loved the fish tacos. We ate her TWICE in our 4 night stay during our honeymoon in Hanalei! It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a tropical cocktail, have some great food --- and not break the bank doing it. I would highly recommend this to someone... more
