This wasn't our first time at Hukilau and probably won't be our last. The food is dependably good, though the quality of service varies from year to year. As with previous visits, we enjoyed the textures and flavors of the meal (ono for my wife, opah for me), though this time the service was too slow for our liking. more

We have stayed at the Kauai Coast Resort twice and have eaten here three times. Its difinately a splurge but a real joy. The Lobster Bisque was delightfully good. Bread and dipping oil also good. Food was outstanding, service was great and outdoor dining was romantic. Husband and I were staying at the Kauai Coast Resort..so it was just a few step away from our room. We were so impressed by their lava cake dessert we went back a second time just for that. It really is a great place to dine. more
