Tired of 'tourist food', we ate here one evening and quite enjoyed the food. Though, the restaurant still seems to be getting fully up and running, with half of the main dining room roped-off and no liquor license yet. Can highly recommend the mango ice cream to finish-off the meal (and cool spicy tongues!). more

I love Indian food, but this place was a disappointment.The view is good, but the food is poor and very over priced. The naan was the worst I have ever had. The food was bland and just not worth the money. There are many good choices in Kihei. Why go third rate Indian? more

Sitting in the Dr.'s office I mentioned to the receptionist that it was too bad Maui didn't have any Indian Restaurants. "We do", she said so that evening my wife and I went to Shangri-La by the Sea. It was great. Having lots of experience with Indian food we found this restaurant delightful, will return with friends and recommend it.... more

we went there on 3/27/08, group of 8, had no problem accomodating us, owner mr sethi was an excellent host. went out of the way to make an out of menu item of bhatura(indian bread). service was prompt and courteous. food came on time and was above average. chef should go light on garam masala ( indian spice), avoid carrot... more

We were driving along S. Kihei road and saw the sign for this restaurant for authentic Indian Cuisine located in the Menehune Shores Resort. We decided to stop in, never having seen Indian food on Maui before. What a treat. All the dishes, naan, entrees, desserts were freshly made to order.
