We love A Saigon Cafe. The portions are big enough to share, dishes are fresh and seasoning is authentic. Every dish here tastes different, as it should. Steamed fish excellent. Summer rolls excellent. Stir-fries excellent. Curries excellent. Pho pretty good. The waiters are helpful--one pun after another, be ready for a lot of joking around, but if you ask for... more

I just want to be laud to say to those who gave Saigon Cafe a bad review that "You guys don't understand anything!" Or, I almost would like to say that Don't write such a racial prejudice review! Shame on you! This is a great restaurant. Ok, maybe it is not most "Clean" restaurant. However, It is energetic and fun... more

I'm from California, so I know what good Vietnamese food is. Saigon Cafe is pretty good. It doesn't compare to the Vietnamese food I have tried back home but it was decent. Kind of pricey but reasonable due to being in Hawaii. The waiters are hilarious and very friendly. The loved to joke around with my family and we all... more

My husband and I just got back from Maui. Unfortunately my last memory of Maui is eating at the Saigon Cafe in Wailuka. We were seated at a table and I could see the kitchen and it looked DIRTY! I told myself that it was just because I was looking at the window and of course there would be more... more

A little difficult to find....no sign........the owner can't find the time to put one up. Authentic Hawaii. Far and away the finest clay pot in the world.........possibly the universe. Pho is also out of this world. Don't order the Thai dishes though....get the incredible Vietnamese dishes. Nice to eat after Iao Valley visit or taking the spectacular drive around the... more

Ok, it wasn't terrible, but what a disappointment. Maybe the dumpy, sort of sticky, small-town Italian restaurant atmosphere was too much for me to see beyond, but I can't figure out why this place is supposed to be so special. I had the shrimp pops, which were interesting, but not outstanding, along with another (dull) appetizer. My spouse's meal was... more

We visited Siagon cafe in June of 2007. This was our second visit, the last having been in 1999. As always the food was excellent. As in the previous posts, the ambience is not the greatest but we were not looking for that. I'm sorry to see some of the negative posts and don't really feel it is an honest... more

Excellent Vietnamese food in Wailuku. The place is hard to find but is definitely worth it. The interior of the restaurant is pretty forgettable and I can definitely see how the wait staff's abrupt manner and brusque humor can be taken as rudeness but they more than make up with it with the food. But if you're looking for great... more
