What a huge disappointment. Terrible atmosphere. Sat in chairs that were at least 20 years old in a horribly ugly dining room. Tiny portions of fish, boring steamed rice and a tiny portion of barely steamed veggies all for $25. I felt beyond ripped off by this restaurant. Absolutely do not eat here. There are way better places to eat... more

Buzz's Wharf has excellent food, very friendly staff and an unbelievable views of Haleakala and Maalaea Harbor. Great sunset views, whale watching the whole Maui'd experience. Excellent mix of surf and turf. The family who owns the restaurant also farms their own shrimp on their farm in New Caledonia (French Polynesia). Best shrimp I've ever had! more

Consistently great over several visits. Not cheap, but you sure get what you pay for...great food. The house speciality is shrimp from New Calidonia and worth every mouth watering bite (plate of 6 for $36.00). Sounds high but it is just the best. more

I didn't realize that this restaurant cost this much or we would not have ate there. $30+ for a fish dish is too much. The food was good, but for that price it should have been wonderful which it was not. My husband got the special which came with "free" dessert, but they were out of the one dessert that... more

Boyfriend and I decided to come here and try those famous prawns....The prawns were OK, nothing spectacular. I think the boy mentioned he'd rather just go to Red Lobster. ;) The salad was decent, the fried calamari was horrible---tough and rubbery and cold. Spent over 100 bucks here and I rather regret it. more

This is mine and my husbands favorite place on the island. The food has always been wonderful, especially the prawns. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially when the breezes are flowing through the restaurant. The wait staff has always been gracious and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. more

We went here twice for lunch during our week in Maui, both times after active mornings. The fish sandwich is perfect, light flaky fish in a Panko-style breading and golden fried, served on sweet bread with crunchy lettuce and tomato. The prawn cocktail appetizer is a great way to sample the prawns they apparently go to some trouble to import,... more

We were greeted warmly, given a window table, and had an outstanding server. The food was absolutely delicious! The salad was quite generous and fresh from the garden. The steak and prawns combination was to die for. We have been going to Maui for years, but we never had stopped there. I will be going next year for sure. more

The food is over priced, the hostess gave our table to another couple and left us at the bar where the drinks were mostly water. After inquiring about our table, since there were many empty tables at this time, the hostess made no effort to make things right by offering free dessert or anything else. We did get a "sorry"... more
