Havana has very a very unique menu, that just wasn't for me. I choose the only chicken option on the menu, and while it was good, it just wasn't one of my favorites of our trip. To soupspoonnewyork: People unfortunately are bound to interpret things very differently - we certainly didn't intend to put you off and I remember the episode quite well - we were getting the back room ready for a large party and weren't quite set - I didn't want you to have to sit and dine while we were moving tables around...
Slightly disappointed with our choice when we visited Havana - service wasn't terribly enthusiastic, but the prices were pretty major league. My fish stew was rather one-dimensional and the lobster didn't taste as fresh as it might do. Perhaps I got them on a bad evening... more

Hands down the best restaurant in Bar Harbor. EXCELLENT food, great wine list, and fun atmosphere. The owner, Michael, came to our table and visited with us for a few minutes; talking with him made our experience even better. Our server was also outstanding. We live close to NYC, and are foodies...we both agreed that Havana is a must. more

Food was poorly prepared: I had a scallop appetizer which consisted of one (albeit enormous) scallop that was very undercooked with incorrect seasoning. Poor texture and taste. Don't really know what to say here - certainly seems that we missed something, or rather several things with you and for that I apologize. Havana clearly focusses on service. Everybody from greeter, bus staff, waiter and the owner/manager was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious!! This restaurant would be succesful in any city of the world. more
