Love this restaurant - we eat here every time we visit Moab! This trip, we ate there twice. Food is always the highest quality and always fresh and very tasty! Had the special one night, buffalo filet wrapped in bacon - supurb! Ahi appetizer special also spectacular! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Service is excellent and wine... more

What a great restaurant. Quaint setting, fantastic service, and the food was awesome. The Buffalo filet melted in your mouth!!! Everyone in our group had a wonderful dining experience and ALL food was delicious - salads, entrees, and dessert. more

We were there probably a week before the previous review. Based on previous reviews I felt it was worth a taxi ride from central Moab so that I could have some wine. We were nor disappointed. Unlike previous reviewer we requested a table inside where it is more "restaurant-like". Food and wine were excellent. Service may have been a bit... more

We stopped by on a whim on the way back to Moab from a sunset walk around Balanced Rock (highly recommend a short walk in Arches at this time of day, nobody was there but us). The restaurant wasn't busy at 830pm, and like it sometimes happens when a place isn't hopping, the service is even slower than when it's... more

The food here is excellent. My husand had the buffalo steak (cooked medium-rare) ($45), stacked with whole-milk mozzerella, basil, and pesto, served with mashed potatoes. He and I both thought it was very good. I had the antelope medallions (also cooked medium-rare) (36$), served with grilled vegetables and sweet potato, in a somewhat spicy sauce (I believe it had habanero... more

After reading the very positive reviews of the Desert Bistro on TripAdvisor, my wife, my 14-year old daughter and I thought we would give it a try on one of the nights we spent in Moab. We are used to fine dining in Boston and New York, so we weren't expecting anything of that caliber, but I can honestly say... more

First the building is very interesting, it is in an old house which has been refusrbished. Which means there are plenty of small dining rooms, which were separate rooms from the original house. It makes the experience very intimate. The food is on the organic side, so that you are aware. You need to be prepared to eat a little... more

My husband and I tried Desert Bistro based on the tripadvisor reviews, and we weren't disappointed. We loved the small rooms, desert decor and peaceful background music. The food was excellent, from the warm wheat bread with dipping oil to our bailey's cheesecake dessert. The elk tamale appetizer and elk tenderloin entrees were delicious. I tried the buffalo special, which... more

After reading the reviews here on TripAdvisor we decided to give the Desert Bistro a try for a special birthday dinner while visiting Moab last Sept. The prices are higher than most restaurants in Moab but the food is far superior. Everything we ordered was delicious. Desert Bistro is as good as or better than many "fine dining" restaurants we've... more
