We loved this restaurant my wife ordered a special of Tilefish and I had the rabbit and both reminded me that we don't ever have to travel to Lyon if we can eat this here.
We have eaten here several times and have always had good food. This time was no exception. I had the Boeuf Bourguignon and my wife had the Steak Frites Bouchon. Both meals were very good. Service was excellent and the owner stopped by to check on how we liked our meals. We were there about 6:20PM on a Friday night... More
My husband and I went here per the recommendation of my dear friend of French decent. It is a warm and intimate restaurant with exposed brick walls. There is an opening to the kitchen which can be a little distracting if you're facing that direction. We just repositioned our chairs and it was fine. Friendly staff that is attentive but... More
We used to eat at Bouchon regularly, then had three bad experiences in a row. Last night, we decided to give it a try once again. Because they don't take reservations and we were meeting another couple for a pre-movie dinner, we arrived ten minutes early. We explained that the other couple would be there in ten minutes, but the... More
Bouchon's owner and the whole staff are dedicated to good food and happy clients ... You can smell it and taste it! ... I had one of the best Beef Bourguignon ever! ... Don't be put off by the wait (no reservations) it is more than worth it ...
Delicious meal. We shared the picque-nique to start. The pate de maison was lovely. My trout almandine was very delicious. The vegetables were treated well also. My husband's beef was just right. We were reconnecting with an old friend and the noise level was a bit lively making conversation a little challenging.
Some of the hallmarks of a great eatery are consistency in the quality of what is served, awareness of the need to introduce change, a well trained, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff, a good selection of wines, an environment where most are comfortable (there will always be those who can find fault)...and all this at reasonable prices...and that describes Bouchon.... Mussels tasted great, were seated in very high traffic place, felt like servers kept barely missing my head with their trays-loud, crowded and busy. (Not my ideal atmosphere) Very weird moment when we asked the waitress to speak with the manager, she responded that she would "try" to get him to talk to us.....?? And she did not manage it,... More
My boyfriend and I decided to try Bouchon for dinner after it was recommended to us by the concierge at the Grand Bohemian Hotel. When we got there, the restaurant was full and we were told the wait may be a least an hour, unless we wanted to sit outside by the heaters. We decided to wait for an indoor... More
