We had a terrible evening at Aura. The service was extremely slow, the portions were small, not that interesting, and all over priced. No value for the money. There are so many other really good restaurants in Boston, this is one to avoid more

Everything at Aura is pretty good, but I haven't found anything fantastic. The brunch on the weekends is good, although really pricey for what you get. Lunch during weekdays is also pretty good. Nice location - restaruant quite nice, but rotten service and very average food - entree was overcooked and a little greasy. Dessert was the exception - a nice brown sugar and maple cheesecake. more
This restaurant is rated one of the best seafood restaurants in Boston, but I must disagree. Their restaurant week fare was good, but unfortunately like many other restaurants, unmemorable. more
Aura is in the Seaport Hotel which is part of a new, developing waterfront area. Several visits for lunch were very good. They offer luncheon specials, reasonably priced, and well presented with very good service, in a nicely decorated dining room. Visited this restaurant three times during the Boston Wine Expo. First lunch was very good: Clam Chowder/Crab-Cod Cakes/Burger. Service was prompt, but beverages were never offered throughout the experience. Check was also incorrect--which is a little odd since we only ordered three items. The food was excellent: fresh, great presentation. We had pan seared scallops with a truffled potato mousse, oven roasted wild mushrooms and chive jus for an appetizer.
