the cookies and pasteries were good but the service was soooooooooo slow that it almost wasn't worth it. as the line got longer (almost out the door) the three workers seemed to move slower more
The best cannoli, my wife and I bought connoli's from "Mike's" and from Modern and then taste tested them right that at the curb in between the two. Modern was the best hands down. Also, the line was shorter and the service fast and friendly. more

Tried Mike's Pastry a few years ago and was told Modern was better and it was. Immediate service, friendly people and pastries were fresh and delicious. Would recommend highly!!!!!!! more
I"ve been going to Modern Pastry since I was a kid and it was fantastic. What Happened????? I visited on 8/12/09, bought a ricotta pie it wasn't that great, It was dry and the sfogliatella tasted stale I had to throw it away. What a waste!!!!! more

After reading the reviews on tripadvisor we decided to try this place over Mike's but ended up stopping by Mike's anyway just to compare. The pastries at both places were about the same but Mike's has alot more space and the atmosphere is just better overall.
