I tried Modus for the first time this weekend. The service at the bar was horrible, despite there wasn't anyone else in the bar!! The food was average at best. For a weekend night, it wasn't busy at all. Too many other good restaurants in San Diego to stick with this one. more

I'm here more for cocktails and appys rather than full on dinner, but I have eaten here a half dozen times as a full dinner patron. Nice ambiance, great service but the menu requires help. I was expecting more flavor. The salmon wraps were quite bland. Perhaps adding a bit more texture and the wraps would have gone from bland to BAM! more

Restaurant has good food, but the customer service is not good--we were asked to leave after two hours because we were told the table was reserved for that time.
